Privacy Policy
After Tea collects a parent email so we can open this term and, later, send product updates. We do not run child accounts.
Last updated 5 September 2026.
Who this is for
After Tea is a parent product. The person at Checkout is a parent or caregiver. We are not a school, not a kura, and not a Ministry of Education product. Nothing here is official advice.
What we collect
Parent email only. That is the address typed at Stripe Checkout, on /pay, or on a notify form if you ask to be told when a year opens.
We do not create child accounts. We do not ask for a student’s name, school, NSN, marks, or any other student personal information. Sheets stay on the device you print from. Ticks on a night are not stored on our server.
Why we use that email
- To open access to this term after Checkout.
- To send later product updates and marketing about After Tea — new nights, a paid term, or a change to the routine.
- To reach you about a payment or a failed Checkout, when that applies.
If you only wanted access and not updates, say so from the same parent address and we will stop the marketing use.
Payments
Stripe processes Checkout — including the free $0 door — and the parent email related to that payment. Stripe is the payment provider. After Tea does not store card numbers. A signed access cookie on this browser is what opens the nights after a successful Checkout.
Your rights under the Privacy Act 2020
You can ask what parent email we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write from the same address you used at Checkout. We will deal with that as a privacy request, not as a school records request — we are not your child’s school.
What this page is not
- Not a child-privacy policy. There is no child login.
- Not Ministry of Education collection or official advice.
- Not a promise that a later paid term will use email the same way — if that changes, this page will change with it.
